From ca2f64bcdaef5915f5147eac935ecb770511e438 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Eelco Dolstra Date: Fri, 15 May 2020 00:32:44 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] Reduce # of UIDs per build to 65536 2^18 was overkill. The idea was to enable multiple containers to run inside a build. However, those containers can use the same UID range - we don't really care about perfect isolation between containers inside a build. --- src/libstore/globals.hh | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/src/libstore/globals.hh b/src/libstore/globals.hh index 7dc842bca..89db072b0 100644 --- a/src/libstore/globals.hh +++ b/src/libstore/globals.hh @@ -149,7 +149,7 @@ public: "The Unix group that contains the build users."}; #if __linux__ - const uint32_t idsPerBuild = 1 << 18; + const uint32_t idsPerBuild = 1 << 16; Setting startId{this, 872415232, "start-id", "The first UID and GID to use for dynamic ID allocation.
